How we recommend products
A product link is not a recommendation. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on the guide and on the affiliate disclosure page.
RentalNoodle Recommended
This label is used only after an editor records an evaluation date and at least three criteria drawn from sources we can point to. Those criteria are:
- Published specifications, not a private test.
- Practical fit for the situation in the guide, such as a small rental or a move.
- What the product does not do, including limits of the spec sheet.
- Warranty or support terms only when the maker publishes them.
- Who it suits, and who should look at an alternative.
- Value only as a comparison of published options, never as a live price.
The badge is not applied because a merchant pays a commission. Most guides will not carry it. A named product appears in a guide only when a public record we fetched names it and states the specifications we repeat. That record may be a manufacturer page. A certification such as ENERGY STAR or Safer Choice verifies that standard, not overall quality. The link under a product name is an Amazon search for the name, not a promise of one listing or a current price. A broader Amazon search is labeled that way. A local business appears only when a fetched record names it, with the date on that record. An inspection Pass or letter grade is that inspection outcome, not a judgment that the business is the best. A license does not show that the business is open.
RentalNoodle Certified
Certified is reserved for a later standard that would need additional verified evidence and a written approval step. Nothing on this site is RentalNoodle Certified. The label is not a laboratory test, a safety certification, or a government approval.
What we do not claim
- We do not invent hands-on tests, ownership, star ratings, review counts, or current prices.
- We do not call a product independently tested unless a documented test exists.
- We do not rank products by commission.
- We do not name a local business unless a source we fetched names it.
