Terms of Service

By accessing or using RentalNoodle (“the Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.

RentalNoodle is a rental marketplace and property management platform that allows:

• Renters to search listings, create reusable renter profiles, and apply to rental properties.
• Landlords and Property Owners to list rental properties, manage applications, track finances, and handle leases.
• Property Managers to manage properties on behalf of owners, communicate with tenants, and generate owner reports.

Listing data on RentalNoodle comes from multiple sources including direct landlord postings, public housing programs (HUD), and third-party national listing feeds. We make no guarantee that any listing is current, accurate, or available.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you are 18 or older and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@rentalnoodle.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or interfere with the Service.

If you post a listing on RentalNoodle, you agree that:

• You have the legal right to list the property (you are the owner, authorized manager, or agent).
• All information provided — rent, availability, features, photos — is accurate and not misleading.
• Your listing complies with all applicable fair housing laws, including the Fair Housing Act. You will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, or familial status.
• You will not post fictitious listings, bait-and-switch pricing, or listings for properties you do not control.
• Photos you upload are either owned by you or used with proper authorization.

We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms or applicable law, without notice.

As a renter using RentalNoodle, you agree to:

• Provide truthful information in your renter profile and rental applications.
• Not submit fake applications or misrepresent your identity, employment, or income.
• Use the messaging and application system only for legitimate rental inquiries.
• Not harvest landlord contact information for commercial purposes.

Renters: Searching listings and submitting applications through RentalNoodle is free. Optional services such as background screening reports may have fees charged by third-party providers.

Landlords / Property Managers: Basic listing and claiming functionality is free. Paid subscription plans (Landlord Pro, Investor, PM Starter, etc.) are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Featured advertising placements are billed separately as recurring subscriptions.

All subscription fees are charged in advance. Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your Billing dashboard; access continues through the end of the paid period. Refunds are not issued for partial billing periods unless required by law.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice to active subscribers.

The RentalNoodle name, logo, design, and original content are owned by RentalNoodle and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

By posting content (listings, photos, descriptions) on RentalNoodle, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and promote that content in connection with the Service.

RentalNoodle integrates with third-party services including but not limited to: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), RentCast (listing data), OpenStreetMap (maps), and SmartMove (tenant screening). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of third-party services.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT LISTINGS ARE ACCURATE, AVAILABLE, OR FREE FROM FRAUD. WE ARE NOT A PARTY TO ANY LEASE AGREEMENT OR RENTAL TRANSACTION BETWEEN LANDLORDS AND RENTERS.

Listing data sourced from third-party feeds may contain errors or be out of date. Always verify listing details directly with the landlord before making any payment or signing any agreement.

Nothing on RentalNoodle constitutes legal, financial, or investment advice.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RENTALNOODLE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOST PROFITS, OR RENTAL FRAUD. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RentalNoodle from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) content you post; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification) will continue to apply.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@rentalnoodle.com. We will delete your personal data within 30 days of account closure, subject to legal retention requirements.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which RentalNoodle is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

CLASS ACTION WAIVER: YOU AGREE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES INDIVIDUALLY AND WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
